Polartec® Power Shield™ fabrics represents the next generation
of technical outerwear. The new 3-layer system, with its ingenious
synergic functions, is fast becoming a success as far as its use
in an increasing number of products for outdoor activities is concerned.
Polartec® Power Shield™ is an advanced fabric, one of the very
best outer fabrics available. It’s highly breathable, gives
warmth without the traditional weight and bulk, blocks wind and
sheds rain and snow.
The fabric is soft and supple, and consists of three layers:
- A uniquely lightweight inner layer that retains the air
heated by the dog. This provides an optimal temperature that
is self-regulating and pleasant for the body.
- The middle layer is an important ACT membrane. Air Control
Technology® (ACT) blocks out 98 percent of the wind.
The remaining 2 percent are allowed to circulate within the
fabric; this is important in the sense that it helps to provide
warmth and to transport moisture from the body and fur.
- The outer fabric has been tested to endure many years of
rough handling. It is extremely durable and can withstand
considerable wear and tear, but is at the same time flexible
and silent.
